The Director's letter

In our era, one of the greatest desires of humanity is to ensure that societies live in peace and harmony. However, this desired peace is often obstructed by both internal and external factors, as well as by human beings themselves, whose ambitions and desires hinder its establishment. Yet, fostering the innate human qualities of justice, fairness, and contentment, along with nurturing a sense of fraternity, can lead to the formation of a harmonious and peaceful society. This is because, by nature, humans are both the architects of peace and, when they choose, the disruptors of societal harmony. Therefore, every step taken, and every effort and initiative undertaken to establish brotherhood, unity, and solidarity will contribute to the adoption of peace, love, and coexistence within society and aid in achieving lasting tranquility.

As Al-Farabi stated, "Society unites through love and lives by justice." Love, beyond being a mere emotion, is a moral virtue—a natural and active force that binds and unites people. It is essential to cultivate, nurture, and sustain this love continually. Love is the driving force behind the human desire for unity. In social life, when every individual accepts their rightful share, respects the rights of others, and generously extends kindness when necessary, such attitudes become the foundational sentiments that foster social peace and justice. For those who understand sharing, possess contentment, and practice tolerance, achieving peace and brotherhood is never a challenge.

The stronger and more sincere the language of love, respect, and peace cultivated and imparted to the members of a society, the more likely it is for the people of that society to live peacefully, happily, and with a sense of justice. Religions, prophets, and divine scriptures have always come to establish the principles of unity, love, peace, and brotherhood. Unfortunately, humanity has often fallen short of achieving the desired level of these virtues. At certain points in history, humankind has forgotten its essence, choosing instead to engage in conflict and destruction rather than embracing love and peace. Such attitudes have only led to an increase in war and chaos.
